Description
EV Battery Integrity Pressure Test Kit - for Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia & Nissan. Many fully electric vehicles have their high voltage battery mounted low down under the floorpan of the vehicle which is intended to be 'sealed' from the elements to prevent water ingress, should the vehicle drive through deep water for example. To ensure the battery is correctly sealed the manufacturers recommend an “integrity test†which is a pressure test to check for leaks in the battery seals, particularly the large top seal that runs around the edge of the battery top. The pressure is very low and must be introduced slowly to prevent any internal battery cell pack damage. The pressures vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, but are usually between 20 - 50 Millibar (0.8psi max). The Laser 8467 kit has been developed to allow a suitably qualified technician to pressure test these batteries in a safe and controlled manner. Warning: Always adhere to the manufacturers instructions and specifications.
