This VCOIL Complete BSF Thread Repair Workshop Kit come with everything you need and work on the same principle as Recoil and Helicoil kits. They are supplied with Taps,Drills, Insert tools and Tang Removal tools and free running stainless steel wire thread inserts 1/4BSF - 1/2BSF
Instructions for use
Clear the damaged thread with a standard drill or use a insert extractor.These VCOIL kits include the correct size drills to prepare for tapping up to M12 (1/2") Check that the thread and pitch of the tap and the bolt match. Use the special VCOIL Taps for cutting the holding thread into the cleared hole. Please use a suitable cutting oil. Place the insert onto the installation Tool and position the adjustable ring so that the insert tang is centred into the tang slot. Wind the insert in with a gentle downward pressure until a half turn below the surface. Do not work against the thread direction as the tang could snap. For the Tang removal lift the installation tool and use the tang break tool to remove the tang.Believe it or not, due to the narrow and exact tolerances the new thread normally is stronger than the original one.Thread Sizes: 1/4 x 26tpi, 5/16 x 22tpi, 3/8 x 20tpi, 7/16 x 18tpi, 1/2 x 16tpi Drills Supplied: 6.6mm, 8.3mm, 9.9mm, 11.5mm, 13mm Insert Tools Supplied: No9, 11, 12, 14, 15 Tang Removal Tools Size: No9, 11, 12, 14, 15 Inserts supplied per kit: 95 Delivery 2 Days approx
