Description
These VCOIL Complete Thread Repair Kits come with everything you need and work the same as Recoil and Helicoil kits. They are supplied with free running stainless steel wire thread inserts at 1.5 times the diameter in length and come in nice plastic cases to keep everything together
Instructions for use
Clear the damaged thread with a standard drill or use a insert extractor.These VCOIL kits include the correct size drill to prepare for tapping up to M12 (1/2") Check that the thread and pitch of the tap and the bolt match. Use the special VCOIL Taps for cutting the holding thread into the cleared hole. Please use a suitable cutting oil. Place the insert onto the installation Tool and position the adjustable ring so that the insert tang is centred into the tang slot. Wind the insert in with a gentle downward pressure until a half turn below the surface. Do not work against the thread direction as the tang could snap. For the Tang removal lift the installation tool and use the tang break tool to remove the tang.Believe it or not, due to the narrow and exact tolerances the new thread normally is stronger than the original one.Thread Size: M12 x 1.5mm Drill Supplied: 12.4mm Insert Tool Supplied: No15 Tang Removal Tool Size: No15 Inserts supplied per kit: 10 x 1.5 of the diameter in length Delivery 2 Days approx
