Description
Customers of Laser Tools have been reporting idler gear/belt sprocket bolt failure soon after cambelt replacement. After investigation it was found that the crankshaft gear, during belt replacement, can move forward and allow the rear most part of the split gear to drop out of engagement with the crankshaft gear. It is not visually obvious that this has happened so if the technician continues to reassemble the engine without correcting this issue subsequent engine failure will be the result. Laser Tools have designed and developed the Laser 9505 tool set and process to help avoid this issue.

- Applications include: Ford 2.0L EcoBlue Diesel found in Ford Edge, Focus, Galaxy, S-MAX (from 2018); Kuga, Mondeo, Ranger (from 2019); Transit, Transit Custom & Tourneo Custom (from 2016); all with EcoBlue TDCi engines; AWD, FWD & RWD.
- Also suitable for Volkswagen Amarok T1A/T1B (from 2022), engine codes: DXKA, DXKB & DXKD.
