Description
As a result of customer requests, Laser Tools has introduced a Short Straight Edge, ideal for automotive and engineering tasks where access may be restricted. It is suitable for checking distortion and flatness on smaller cylinder heads, engine blocks, sump pans and other machined surfaces. Use with a feeler gauge set to measure clearance between the surface and straight edge, helping to prevent gasket failures and engine damage.
Features
- Straight edge with bevelled & flat edges. Recommended for use with feeler gauges, see Laser Part No. 2481.
- Applications include: Cylinder head flatness, engine block flatness and Cylinder liner deck heights, Flywheel & Clutch inspections (warpage), Especially useful on smaller casing such as motorcycle casings etc.
- Dimensions: 310 x 50 x 6mm.
- Manufactured from S50C carbon steel plate to an accuracy of 0.03mm.
- NOTE: Always store flat or hanging to protect straight edges from damage. Part of the Laser engineers’ range, for 610mm see Laser Part No. 5371, for 900mm see Laser Part No. 9489.
